Sara HThis was our first time renting from Sheri and she was great! She made renting very easy and her cabin is beautiful. New carpet in bedrooms, new couch, and new Mattresses (which were super comfortable). We didn’t want to leave. We spent every meal outside by the water, and bugs were NOT as issue. Bring your binoculars to watch the boats go by (we saw several). We went in August and the water was SUPER warm that we swam a lot, and very clear. We will be making the little red cabin a family tradition for years to come.
Christie HThis was our 2nd year staying here as we enjoyed last yr so much. Grew up staying in similar places and the view of Lake Huron and ease of getting to the lake is amazing. Sheri made improvements this year that were awesome! Absolutely did not want to go home! Husband 2 adult kids and 91 yr old dad all stayed here. We had a blast and have many cherished memories
Christie HThis was our 2nd year at the cabin as we loved it so much last year! Our adult kids and 91 hr old dad came too. Thoroughly enjoy the view and ease of getting to the lake. Grew up with this type of cabin and Sheri has made improvements this year that made it even better!
Eileen SmithWe just returned from a week of fun and enjoyment at this cottage. I recommend you try it. Beautiful setting, with beach front, sunrises and sunsets, freighters passing through, and yes, you can see the bridge. Close to a lot of places we wanted to visit, like the Cross in the Woods, Mackinaw City, St. Ignace, and even a trip to Tahquamenon Falls. This place has everything you need! And yes, s'mores at the fire pit!
Carrie RBeautiful secluded outdoor setting on Lake Huron.
Drew HeilmanMe and my family spent a week here (7-13-2018 to 7-21-2018) . The location is perfect . It’s off the beaten path but close enough to get to the local attractions without a long drive . It’s right on the water and surrounded by trees to provide privacy . The water is so clean and clear you can see straight to the bottom . My kids experienced all kinds of wildlife and loved playing on the beach . The sunsets and night sky view is the best I’ve ever seen . The owners are quick to respond and assist with any issues or questions . I will definitely be coming back again next summer .
Chelsea PWe grew up at Cordwood Shores. My mother's family rented places during their childhood, we rented a couple different ones during our childhood, and then our grandparents purchased a home on the lane. When my Papa passed, my grandmother decided to move back to metro Detroit near the rest of the family. My grandmother passed five years later. As a result of her moving down, we hadn't been to Cordwood Shores in 15 or so years! My mom turned 60 this year and we wanted to surprise her with something more memorable than simply a party. Sheri was more than accommodating in making this happen. The cottage was perfect! It fit all of our guests with plenty of room (6 of us). We spent our time on the water which is directly on the property. We walked down to our childhood homes. We had bonfires and laughs at night. We drove to downtown Cheboygan and Mackinaw City; just like old times. If you are looking to visit the amazing city of Cheboygan- Cordwood Shores is the best place! Cozy cabin in the woods, right on beautiful Lake Huron; also, a close drive to any other adventures.
Toni W.We just got back from a week at this cottage and I am ready to go back. It is a comfortable, clean cottage in a quiet spot with gorgeous Lake Huron right outside. We swam in the turquoise waters, watched freighters pass close by, had popcorn over the fire on the beach and relaxed with our family. It was the vacation we were looking for!!
Rick M.Really enjoyed our stay at this clean Cordwood Shores cottage. Beautiful setting on Lake Huron. Loved being able to watch the awesome sunsets and the lighthouse from the comfort of the covered front porch. Liked our walks on the beach and hiking in the woods. Just a short distance to Mackinaw City and other nearby cities. A great place to relax and enjoy nature. Will definitely return!
