This 10,000 acre lake is home to walleye, perch, and bass etc. The sandy beach is perfect for tanning and swimming - especially children. The shoreline extends 150 ft. out into the water on hard, sandy bottom that makes playing in the shallows perfect. Enjoy the sunrise on the beach, sip coffee on the screened porch, or out in your private dock or row boat. Bring your own beach towel! Black Lake is located close to Onaway, Roger City, Harbor Springs, Mackinac Island, Petoskey, and Cheboygan. The area provides opportunities for swimming, golf, canoeing, horseback riding, four wheeling, biking, fishing, dining and shopping. Directly accross the street is 40 miles of state owned land with groomed trails that blend into The Pigeon River Forest. Bring the whole family and the pets too!
Take I-75 north to Exit 310 (Indian River), then M-68 East 18 miles to Onaway(toward Rogers City). Turn left onto F05 towards UAW. Travel 3-4 miles to a stop sign. Turn left on S. Black River Rd. Look for our sign on the right side of the road just past Lorenzo's restaurant - on the curve; Sign reads CRAIG’S NORTHERN EXPOSURE.
Lake front: 1 bedroom downstairs (full) 1 day bed downstairs (twin) 1 bedroom upstairs with 2 beds (both full), gas grill, rivate sandy beach on 80 ft. of frontage, private dock w/row boat, fire pit w/wood provided, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. All linens provided Cable TV. Dogs are welcome too, if they are a safe breed. Must be on a cable when outside. (Limit 2)
