It is a scenic drive on M-25 with amazing views and vistas. Or takea beautiful 20 minute drive to the famous Grindstone City ice cream parlor. Walts meat market is a 3 minute walk from the house to get great meat to BBQ and fresh bread and homemade cookies. The boat ramp is just minutes away.

Mike and JillGreat vacation home for a large family......this was our second booking in four years. Has three bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs as well as two pull out couches to accomodate a lot of people. There is also 1 bathroom upstairs and 2 bathrooms with showers downstairs. Well water is the only source so you cannot have enough water......bring plenty for cooking, brushing teeth, drinking. No need for any kitchen pots, pans or dishes, this kitchen is fully stocked. If your kids want to play in the sand, be sure to bring shovels and buckets. Plenty of room for tons of food, we chose to save room in the car and bought groceries at the local grocery store in Caseville....shopping in Bad Axe would save some money. Must tries.....Grindstone General Stone for ice cream....cone scoops are bigger than you imagine....about 15 miles away and well worth it......we paid under $20 for six people. Tip-A-Thumb canoe rental, 2.6 miles east off Port Austin Road......as of 8-25-12.....$25.00 for a canoe that holds 2 adults and 2 little ones.....cash only!! The beach area the canoe takes you to is worth the trip. Very clean, water wasn't rocky at all, water depth started at about 2 feet and very refreshing....at the time we stayed the water levels were low......pack foldable chairs, umbrellas for shade and food with plenty of water......no facilities at the beach, your pretty much on your own. Joe's Pizzeria in Port Austin was suggested to us and was really good.....cash only, no credit or debit.....dont waste money on the bread sticks. If you want to try another beach we really liked Bay Watch Beach at Caseville County Park.....9 miles west off Port Austin Road....the bath facilities were very clean....has updated playground equipment and the water is shallow like at the house. Again, pack a lunch and bring plenty of water unless you want to pay a fortune at the beach grill. Souvenir prices are less in Port Austin than Caseville And lastly, be careful driving at night......a deer hit us and damaged the front of our car pretty good. That was a downer but would not prevent us from booking this house again. This house has wi-fi, which was wonderful since the cell phone reception was not very good. There are plenty of critters out at night, so be sure to secure the garbage cans. If you are looking for nightlife options, Hershels on the Bay in Caseville is a good one for the weekend, we also enjoyed The Landing in Port Austin. Both are about 8 miles from the house. Overall, we love this place, our kids played on the beach tons and loved the water. Sunsets are beautiful and the owners are a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend to anyone.
Rose HillIt was wonderful, we will go back next year. The sunsets were something to see, the house was great, nice and clean and alot of room. Great place to stay, very pleased
Linda AlfafaraOur family fell in love with this summer home and can't wait to return next summer. It is very comfortable and was very well equipped. It was very hard to leave at the end of our stay!
MistyVery beautiful!! This was a very relaxing and enjoyable time! Everything you need is here, and the water is breath taking! The beach portion is probably the best in the area! We will be back next summer!
