Located in a castle-like Romanesque building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the three floors of the museum are filled with paintings, photographs, maps, written documents, furniture, dolls, glassware, tools, vehicles and more! The purpose of this collection is to preserve and reveal the way in which the people of Michigan (and especially Lenawee County) have lived through the years. The museum is barrier-free, has an elevator, sits between the historic Downtown Adrian shopping district and the State/Dennis Street Historic Residential District, has plenty of free parking and is air-conditioned. Step back in time....at Lenawee’s Historical Museum!
